Our Mission

We provide equine assisted activities to encourage individuals with special needs in reaching their potential for physical, behavioral, and social development in an atmosphere of recreation and fun.

To foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
"Welcome to my world, won't you come on in. Miracles, I guess, still happen now and then
Step into my heart, leave your cares behind. Welcome to my world, built with you in mind"

These words from the 1964 country ballad by Jim Reeves, capture the passion of the founders of All Riders Up.  We believe in the unique bond that is formed between an individual and a horse.  The magic that follows is the foundation upon which our non profit therapeutic riding center was established.

"Knock and the door will open, Seek and you will find,
Ask and you  will be given, The key to this world of mine"

We offer each rider the chance to "take the reins", becoming an active partner in directing their equine experience.  Lessons are customized to suit the individual needs, goals, and learning style of the student.  Our certified PATH Intl. instructors show patience and understanding in devising lesson plans that reflect their expertise in a wide range of disabilities.

Both children and adults appreciate our peaceful, no pressure atmosphere. The student's enjoyment of the company of an equine, in an environment of total acceptance and absolute safety is our primary goal.

Having fun in this way can improve the likelihood of attaining many of life's goals without the feeling of "going to therapy."  Family members and medical professionals alike have remarked about the improvement in core strength, attention span, balance, and verbal skills of our students, and, also of the fun the student has at All Riders Up.

Siblings are also invited to participate at ARU, because they too, have special needs in helping to maintain family unity.  The more activities they can share help to preserve the integrity of the family.  Having fun together makes the family "special" in a uniquely empowering way.

"I'll be waiting here, with my arms unfurled,
waiting just for you, Welcome to my world"

Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International was formed in 1969 as the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association to promote equine assisted activities and therapies  for individuals with special needs (EAAT).
